Nissan Hire Ketchum to Handle UEFA Champions League Sponsorship

August 8, 2014

Global public relations firm Ketchum has been appointed by Nissan to handle its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League.

Ketchum London beat off two other competitors to secure the account.

Nissan became an official partner to UEFA in April succeeding Ford who decided against renewing their long-term association.

As part of the deal Nissan will be the Official Partner of the UEFA Champions League for the period between 2014/15 and 2017/18, which will see Nissan involved with Europe’s most prestigious club football competition through their exclusive products and services. The agreement also includes the UEFA Super Cups in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Clare Pring, partner and managing director of Ketchum’s UK Brand Practice and will be leading the account, said: “We’re very pleased to be working with such an ambitious client on one of the most exciting competitions in football. I’m really proud that we’ve been chosen to provide this support.”
