The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced a new supply agreement that will see Nike supply uniforms and products to organisation’s committee members and staff.

The agreement will begin in January 2013 and runs until the end of 2016. Uniform and products will be provided to the IOC for the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014, Rio in 2016, the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in 2014 and Lillehammer in 2016, as well as for IOC Sessions, Evaluation Commissions and other events as required.

Timo Lumme, Managing Director, IOC Television and Marketing, said “We are delighted that we have reached this agreement with Nike, the world’s leading sports and fitness company, and we feel that this relationship will be a great fit for the IOC.”

“We’re honoured to be working with the IOC and we look forward to this being the start of a long and successful relationship”, commented Nike Brand President Charlie Denson.

Nike supplied competition apparel to more than 100 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) at the London 2012 Olympic Games, along with footwear to thousands of individual athletes. The company is also the official NOC sponsor for the USA, Brazil, Kenya and Estonia. The Nike Swoosh also adorned the competition and ceremony clothing and footwear for the four Independent Olympic Athletes who competed under the IOC flag in London.
