NHL Considering Chinese Fixtures

Pre-eminent North American Ice Hockey divison National Hockey League is considering staging fixtures in China in a bid to raise the league’s profile in Asia.
The league’s Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner are scheduled to visit the region within the next few months, with a view to scheduling pre-season games there next year.
The Chinese capital city of Beijing host the Winter Olympics in 2022, with NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly stating a hope that the tournament will increase interest in the sport.
A successful trial period could lead to regular season games being held in China.
