New TV Deal for Euroleague in Russia and Ukraine

Europe’s most prestigious Basketball tournament ‘Euroleague’ will remain on NTV-Plus in Russia and Ukraine for the next three years, the sports organisation has announced.

The new agreement with the broadcaster which is owned by Gazprom will run through to the end of the 2013-14 season. The Euroleague Final Four, the highlight of the European basketball season, is aired on television in 197 countries across the globe.

“This agreement brings continuation in the quality and the production of the sport for fans to enjoy and we are very happy to continue with our loyal partner,” said Andrea Bassani, Euroleague Basketball’s director of television and new media rights. “NTV has been bringing Euroleague Basketball to fans across Russia and Ukraine for three years, making them the longest partner that we have had.”
