Netherlands Cricket Get Two New Sponsors

Netherlands cricket has announced two separate sponsorship deals as SMT Shipping and E.On.

E.On will sponsor the Dutch Topklasse Twenty20 finals day on 23rd June while SMT Shipping has signed up as the principal sponsor of the Dutch League for the next three years.

The SMT Shipping partnership begins today and is set to provide significant funding towards the running costs of the league programme.

Richard Cox, symptoms KNCB Chief Executive, prostate | said: “We are delighted to welcome SMT Shipping as the new principal sponsor of the Dutch League Cricket and thank them for their investment in this challenging financial climate.”

“SMT Shipping is an international company with Dutch origins, and has previously been associated with Dutch cricket , as an employer of a number of both present and former Dutch cricketers. We are looking forward to working closely with them over the coming three years.

“This is a major step forward for the KNCB and we will now seek further complimentary brand partners and sponsors to  accompany SMT Shipping for our other competitions and development programmes as we systematically raise the profile of Cricket in the Netherlands and elsewhere.”

Meanwhile, E.On will provide 5000 for the Twenty20 winners, 2500 for the runners-up and 1250 for the losing semi-finalists.

“We are delighted to have secured E-on as the sponsor for the T20 Finals Day to be played at Excelsior’s ground on June 23rd. E-on’s relationship with Cricket in the Netherlands has been nurtured through Excelsior XX over a number of years and now they are stepping up to support a National Initiative in a very positive manner,” Cox said.

“We are also extremely grateful to Excelsior for hosting the day on what should be an excellent opportunity to showcase the shorter form of the game in Dutch Cricket. A number of talented players will be on display from the 4 clubs, and we wish them every success on the day.”
