Nestle Nesquik Becomes Official Flavored Milk of USA Water Polo

Nestle Nesquick a chocolate milk company, has been named the official flavored milk and recovery drink of USA Water Polo (USAWP).

As part of the agreement, Nesquick will be provided to the USA Men’s and Women’s Senior National Teams in their preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games. Nestle Nesquick will also support USAWP on social media platforms, along with submitting special content for inclusion in SkipShot magazine, the official publication of USA Water Polo. In addition, USAWP athletes will also be eligible to make appearances on behalf of Nestle Nesquick throughout 2012 and the beverage will be promoted at USAWP events through program listings and public address announcements.

Low-fat chocolate milk has recently been touted as a workout recovery drink. “A recovery drink such as low-fat Nesquick chocolate milk is a great recovery option for the USA Water Polo National Team athletes,” said Shawn Dolan, US Olympic Committee Sport Dietitian. “It is easy for them to grab between weights and a pool session or after a session before their next meal. The combination of carbohydrate, protein, and fluid allows them to replenish and begin the adaptation process after a hard training session. And, the athletes enjoy it!”

USAWP Chief Marketing Officer Jen Rottenberg, said: “Nesquickflavored milk is a critical component to the nutritional support we are providing to our Olympians in training.
