January 4, 2012
Deron Williams, unhealthy considered to be one of the best Point Guards in the NBA, has become the new ambassador for Red Bull.
Williams, who has been on the Nike roster for his entire NBA career, has now added Red Bull to his roster. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Williams will appear in marketing, including an initial teaser spot that follows “D-Will” from the game on Monday night at The Prudential Center, the Nets’ current home arena in Newark, NJ, to a celebrity party in Manhattan’s SoHo District inn New York.
“Even though the original plan of checking out the skyline from a heli didn’t go as planned, it was an incredible night out,” said Williams. “I had a fun ride into Manhattan, and my friends at Red Bull threw a great party to welcome me to the family.”
Williams joins an increasingly large roster of athletes sponsored by Red Bull, including NBA players Blake Griffin and Rajon Rondo, MLB players Tim Lincecum and Jimmy Rollins, NFL players Reggie Bush, and DeMarcus Ware, and a host of others.
