The National Basketball Association (NBA) and The Sports Channel have signed a multiyear extension of their exclusive TV and digital partnership in Israel.

The Israeli sports broadcaster has been an NBA broadcast partner since 1995 and will continue to provide NBA coverage including up to three live regular-season games per week, ambulance extensive coverage of the NBA Playoffs, all conference finals and Finals games, as well as highlights, customized shows, and coverage of marquee events such as NBA All-Star, across The Sports Channel platforms.

As part of the partnership, fans will also be able to watch extensive highlight shows including NBA Action and NBA Magazine, a weekly magazine show customized for Israel.

The agreement also extends the web cooperation between the NBA and The Sports Channel that will see Sport5.co.il, the league’s official digital destination in Israel, continue to host NBA.com in Israel.

“As one of our longstanding partners in the region, we are thrilled to continue our successful collaboration with The Sports Channel,” said NBA EMEA Vice President, Global Media Distribution Elsa Memmi.

“The Sports Channel’s passion for the NBA is matched by their commitment to providing fans in Israel with the most comprehensive multi-platform NBA coverage ever.”

The Sports Channel CEO Tomer Tourgeman said: “This deal is great for The Sports Channel because it consolidates and deepens our relationship with the NBA and its fans in Israel for the coming years.”
