MP & Silva, a leading international sports media company, has announced today its appointment as the exclusive worldwide media rights distribution and production agency for Singapore’s marquee running event, the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS) 2011, organised by the Singapore Sports Council (SSC). The race takes place on 4 December 2011.

MP & Silva tapped into its integrated approach of providing media rights distribution, production services and marketing support to secure the milestone agreement with SSC.

The SCMS will see a number of enhancements by MP & Silva for the 2011 edition, such as  news updates on official Twitter and Facebook accounts, and a reality-style programme format for the whole new five-hour LIVE broadcast, chronicling key runners’ preparation for the competition and the highlights of their race.

Beatrice Lee, Managing Director of Asia Pacific, said, “MP & Silva’s leading position in the local sports scene is attributed to our integrated formula of combining expansive rights distribution with creative inputs to production and marketing. We will continue to strive for more creative ways to reach out to rights holders and stakeholders to feed the growing demand for Singapore’s sports programmes.”
