MLS to Air on SuperSport

SuperSport has announced that Major League Soccer (MLS) will be broadcast on their channel in Sub-Saharan Africa and the adjacent islands territories, allergist up until 2014.

A round of fixtures on August 4 will kick the coverage of and will continue until November 2014, with the deal including three live matches per week, as well as eight playoff matches and a final.

SuperSport acquired the rights from international sports media rights agency MP & Silva.

“The league has become highly competitive with great goals guaranteed before packed houses,” said Brandon Foot, SuperSport’s Head of Acquisitions and Legal.

“This adds to our football offering and it is particularly pleasing that the games are all available in High Definition, given the recent addition of two new SuperSport HD channels.”
