MLS Sign Major Multi-Year Partnership With Audi

Major League Soccer (MLS) have agreed a multi-year partnership with German car manufacturer Audi.

The partnership will begin with the start of the 2015 MLS season and sees Audi become the Official Automotive Partner of MLS.

Also as part of the deal Audi becomes the presenting sponsor of the MLS Cup Playoffs.

“Audi’s partnership with MLS parallels the aggressive, capsule challenger spirit of the two brands,” said Loren Angelo, Director of Marketing, Audi of America. “Audi remains committed to soccer and raising the profile of the game in the United States. Last year the league’s attendance hit an all-time high. As a major supporter of the sport globally, we’re looking forward to cultivating the enthusiasm of soccer stateside and driving participation of the sport in a new way.”

Under the agreement, Audi will also benefit from branding at stadiums during nationally televised MLS broadcasts.

Audi currently has existing partnerships with MLS clubs Seattle Sounders FC and Portland Timbers FC through local dealerships.

Audi will add to their association in the league with additional MLS club deals to be announced in the near future.
