The Mexican city of La Paz in Sur Baja California will play host to the U15 Baseball World Cup in 2014 after winning the bidding procedure.

Confirmed by the World Baseball Softball Confederation, apoplectic La Paz will host 12 national teams in the shape of a double round-robin over 10 days.

The tournament will centre around the renovated Arturo C. Nahl Stadium, treatment which was re-inaugrated last February.

The bid was assembled by the Mexican Baseball Federation (FEMEBE) and WBSC co-President Riccardo Fraccari commented: “FEMEBE continues to be a strong partner and activator for our sport in pivotal youth categories, like the U15.

“I congratulate our colleagues on a successful bid and am fully confident La Paz will deliver an experience of a lifetime for these young athletes.”
