Mexico Football Federation President & Director of Sport of Mexico City Join Directors’ Club Mexico Panel

The event will take place for the first time in Mexico City on 20th May at the Sport Innovation Summit.

Horacio de la Vega has been the Director of Sport of Mexico City since January 2013, developing many initiatives and implementing policies to improve sport.

Previously, Horacio was Commercial and Marketing Director & Government Board Member at XVI PanAmerican Games Guadalajara 2011, in charge of all private revenue generation.

Justino Compean was appointed President of the Mexican Football Federation in September 2006 and in that time he managed to obtain the hosting of the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2011.

Prior to joining the Mexican Football Federation, he was Executive Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Confederations Cup in Mexico in 1999 and in December 2000, he accepted the invitation of Emilio Azcarraga Jean to chair Necaxa Football Club.

Currently Compean also serves as Executive Vice President of the CONCACAF (zone North America).

This exclusive, invitation only-event will gather a panel of experts to discuss on the topic “How to create value in the Sports Industry in Mexico”, in front of an audience of 70 key decision-makers, who will also have the chance to network in a relaxed environment.
