November 13, 2014

Spanish broadcaster Mediaset has acquired the rights to cover the FIFA Club World Cup next month.

The competition, which will feature UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid, will be played in Morocco between 10 and 20 December.

Mediaset will show coverage of the whole competition and will broadcast the two quarter finals, both semis and the final itself.

Its free-to-air services Cuatro and Telecinco will also broadcast games.

Along with Real Madrid the tournament will consist of Mexican side Cruz Azul, Western Sydney Wanderers, the new Asian Cup champions, Copa Libertadores champions Atletico San Lorenzo de Almagro of Argentina and Algeria’s Es Setif, the reigning African champions.
