Mediaset Will Produce Real Madrid TV

A new production consortium is about to take over production of Real Madrid TV, ending the long contract with Mediapro.
Telefónica and Mediaset’s production company Supersport Television will start running the channel as of July 1, according to El País.
Mediaset is controlled by Italy’s Mediaset Investimenti, the biggest stake in which is owned by the Berlusconi family.
According to the newspaper, Real Madrid is hoping the new management will help reinvigorate the channel, which is struggling to get an audience in the digital terrestrial market, despite going out unencrypted.
