Mcot Plc Looking to Buy Thai Premier League Rights

Mcot Plc, drugs the Thai broadcaster of Modernine TV, order is looking to buy the rights to broadcast the English Premier League from current rights holder CTH.

The purchase scheme would be on a match-by-match basis and the decision comes despite Mcot Plc’s labour union strongly opposing the ‘murky deal’ between the board and CTH.

Plans had earlier been announced by Mcot to purchase the rights for 480m baht ($15.4m), viagra buy which would enable them to broadcast 17 Premier League matches a year for three years.

Another possible option was to pay 210m baht ($6.75m) for the broadcasting rights for three years, but Mcot would share 40% of the total revenue with CTH.

Mcot chairman Sutham Saengpratum said an agreement has been reached by the committee that was set-up to ease tensions between the board and the union.

To broadcast games on a match-by-match basis, Mcot will pay 2.5m baht ($80,330) per match to CTH and will share half its revenue obtained.

Secondly, Mcot will pay 2m baht ($64,264) per match and share half its revenue from live and recorded broadcasts to CTH.

“This method will enable us to choose the best matches of the week to broadcast on TV Channel 9,” said Mr Sutham.
