MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship & Datatag Extend Partnership

March 27, 2013

Datatag, the market leader in motorcycle security marking and registration systems, have extended their official partnership with MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship.

Under the terms of the latest deal, Datatag will receive the naming rights of the qualifying session that decides the starting grid for the first MCE BSB race of each round. Datatag will also protect and register each competing motorcycle across all classes to ensure they can be traced and identified in the event of theft.

Datatag’s Managing Director, Kevin Howells said: “We are extremely proud to continue our sponsorship of the 2013 MCE British Superbike Championship. Last season played an important role helping to raise awareness of the unwanted problem of motorcycle and scooter theft and with the important development of the Industry supported Official MASTER Security Scheme, it was an easy decision to continue with our support of possibly the most exciting race series. We look forward to this year’s Championship and especially, the Datatag Extreme Qualifying.”

MCE British Superbike Championship Series Director Stuart Higgs added: “I’m delighted that we have extended our partnership with Datatag, and in particular being able to utilise Datatag’s technologies to improve our regulations enforcement and especially offer a level of security protection to the teams that we have never had before. We believe it adds value and will provide our riders and teams some peace of mind.”

The 2013 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship begins at Brands Hatch on 5 April.
