McDonald’s Upgrades Sponsorship of Newcastle Jets

October 10, 2014

A-League team Newcastle Jets have announced that long term partner McDonald’s Newcastle & Hunter Region have increased their support for the Club and will upgrade their partnership to become a Major Partner of the Club.

This new partnership provides a timely boost for the Jets on the eve of their opening match of the 2014/15 Hyundai A-League Season and will see the famous McDonald’s Golden Arches logo appear on the front of the team’s playing shorts from tomorrow.

Newcastle Jets CEO, Robbie Middleby commented: “Globally, McDonald’s is a major supporter of football and we are thrilled that this belief in our sport is also present in the Hunter Region. It is testament to the growth of the A-League and the level of support the Jets have in our community, that we have been able to secure such a well respected and well recognised international brand as a Major Partner,” said Middleby.

“To add McDonald’s to a Partner group that already contains blue chip multinational brands such as nib, BLK, Coca-Cola and Westfield shows the fundamentals of the Club are strong and the future is bright.”

“We thank McDonald’s for their support, we are pleased to be able to continue our relationship with Ronald McDonald House Newcastle and fingers crossed we can start this new chapter together with three points in tomorrow’s F3 Derby”

McDonald’s Newcastle Operations Manager, Jeff Fisher, added: “McDonald’s restaurants in the Hunter region are supported by the Hunter community and we know how passionate the community is about football and the Jets, so it was a natural progression for us to further increase our support for the Club. We wish them the best of luck in their opening match and for the season ahead.”
