August 2, 2013

The Massachusetts Senate has passed legislation that establishes a commission tostudy the feasibility of the Bay State hosting the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

The nine-member commission would analyse the logistics of hosting the Games, viagra including infrastructure, order transportation, security, lodging, locations, costs and job creation. The legislation calls for the commission to complete the study by March 2014.

The bill was approved in the Senate and now heads to the state’s Lower House.

The bill’s sponsor, State Senator Eileen Donoghue, said the Olympics would boost tourism and give the state “an amplified international profile.”

The US Olympic Committee is set to decide any bid cities for the 2024 Olympic Games in 2014.
