We’re on the lookout for a Fan Engagement Executive to join the team and support an exciting period for fan engagement at F1. Reporting day to day to the Fan Engagement Manager, the main purpose of the role is to support data growth, fan engagement and the F1 Fan membership program.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of key campaigns for F1 Unlocked, driving database acquisition and engagement, backed up through analytics and insights – including reward strategy and competitions.
  • Support with data capture & enrichment tactics to grow the F1 fanbase to deepen understanding and knowledge of the fan base through engagement mechanics, Monterosa platform and partner data sources.
  • Manage the creative process for all F1 Unlocked communications including weekly fan communications, lifecycle communications, partner inclusions & rewards.
  • Own the Fan Engagement Marketing Planning Calendar, ensuring it is up to date and shared with key stakeholders.
  • Track and deliver all licensee and partner contractual obligations so that they are engaging and valuable for our Unlocked fanbase and meet partner needs.
  • Evaluate the performance of all F1 Unlocked activities to optimise future campaigns.
  • Lead on future test & learn plans to increase learnings on our fanbase and drive future growth.
  • Establish effective working relationships across with creative teams and agencies as well as F1 data and product teams.

About You

  • Minimum of 2 years’ in a customer marketing role – client or agency side – managing lifecycles
  • Experience delivering a high volume of insight-lead engagement campaigns from briefing through to execution and reporting
  • Able to prioritise workload in a very high output environment

Head of Race and Market Development – Formula 1

Race Promotion is a key pillar of Formula 1’s business, contracting and delivering the live platform where fans can experience the thrill and entertainment of the sport. The Race Promotion Team works with Promoters of existing races as well as negotiating the inclusion of new races on the Championship calendar, in line with Formula 1’s strategic commercial objectives.

This role leads, develops and manages a strategically selected group of race promoters within the F1 eco-system with the goal of a continued evolution of the market and the commercial opportunity with each promoter, race, and the market destination the race takes place within.

This position is responsible for developing the commercial opportunities within these markets and ensuring continued excellence by both the promoter and F1 in the delivery of the annual race. 

The Head of Race Development supports all business effort of a portfolio of promoter markets. He/she will assist promoters/markets in applying best practices learned from other promoters, sports, events, and industries. This includes development and implementation of best practices in the areas of: marketing, ticketing, digital, event operations, H&S, security, M&TC, partnerships, broadcast & production.

Each race/market within your portfolio will require a different approach and you will work with the senior leadership, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders across F1 to bring those insights, learnings, and solutions to race/market.

This role requires a strong business development acumen, a laser focus on driving efficiency and productivity, and commercial opportunities while demonstrating a deep analytical skillset. It calls for a unique confluence of ingenuity and meticulous attention to detail that delivers flawless execution and management across the 6 races and markets each year – evolving, transforming, and creating unrivalled events, to promote the racing spectacle whilst also developing event opportunities to sit alongside the racing.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily relations and operations across 6 key markets/races, working with F1 promoters to deliver operational excellence.
  • Work as part of the senior leadership team in Race Promotions to host and present best practices at cross market workshops throughout the year both within your portfolio and supporting with learnings in others.
  • Identify commercial opportunities in market and work with the Special Projects teams to develop and deliver multi touch point events within market.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and a network of vendors to ensure that service level agreements, budgets, timelines, and operational standards are met across those markets
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the fellow Head of Race Development positions to ensure consistency in reporting across markets and to share knowledge. Supporting one another to ensure the complimentary skills are utilized cross market where required.

Content Manager – Williams Racing

Williams’ core competencies are the design and development of racing cars to compete in the Formula One World Championship. As one of the world’s leading Formula One teams, the company has secured 16 FIA Formula One World Championship titles since its foundation in 1977 and is now moving into an exciting era under new ownership defined by relentless innovation and living sustainable performance in every dimension.

We are currently seeking an ambitious and driven Content Manager to join our Marketing team. The overlying responsibility of the Content Manager is to be responsible for planning, development and implementation of both online and offline content for the team. This includes leading on the creation, management, oversight and delivery of high-quality, compelling and engaging proactive communications and marketing content via traditional and digital channels.

The Content Manager will oversee the content team, including in-house videographer, Junior Content Manager, along with external photography and videography agency resource. The Role

As Content Manager your key responsibilities will be:

  • To manage the day-to-day relationship with the team’s contracted production company, including project management of all video content production.
  • To drive production and management of video and photo-led content.
  • To meet content objectives and measure performance against these.
  • To collaborate with Marketing, Communications, and Commercial teams to plan and develop engaging content to increase value and meet business and brand objectives.
  • To maintain and develop a year-round content calendar to implement the content strategy, in conjunction with the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager, to align with the wider marketing strategy.
  • To manage the wider content team including in-house and external resource.
  • Travel and event attendance will be required in line with the role.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record working within a similar role in a fast-paced environment for a high-profile organisation. Executive, CRM – McLaren Racing

Support the management of McLaren’s fan marketing programme, including the Marketing Cloud platform, McLaren Plus community and all associated campaigns. The role will be integral in shaping and producing the content across all email and mobile communications for McLaren’s database and fan loyalty programme.Working closely with Social Media, Creative and Brand teams, you will focus on creating game-changing fan engagement campaigns that drive website traffic, brand engagement and conversions in line with specific campaign goals. 

Role Dimensions:  The role entails unsocial hours and some work on weekends will be required. 

Principal Accountabilities   :McLaren Plus growth, retention & communications (65%) 

  • Create and manage effective fan communications strategies for the different audience groups across email and mobile, plan and execute the day-to-day email campaigns and ensure all CRM activity is executed/scheduled on time (design, build, send). 
  • Apply email marketing best practices across all areas and always thinking and searching for innovative new ideas to improve processes, emails and communications through the email channel 
  • Create test plans to ensure continuous learning and optimisation of campaign performance 
  • Design and execute a data segmentation plan for each campaign

  • Work closely with Merchandise and Licensing colleagues and third-party suppliers to drive cohesion between McLaren’s licensing plans and digital communications.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for the hands-on shooting of dynamic photography and video content, working closely with the teams and drivers across multiple series including Formula E, Extreme E, Formula 1, IndyCar and esports.
  • Shooting and editing content which demonstrates an understanding and consideration for our fans on our channels including, but not limited to, TikTok, Instagram and the McLaren App.
  • Responsible for ingestion of footage into our digital asset management system (DAM).
  • Create video content in accordance with the overarching digital strategy, as well as objectives, house style and tone of voice, with a particular focus on short form trending content
  • Editing content to a high standard for a range of formats and across a breadth of digital and social media channels. 
  • Working flexibly and efficiently to produce high-volume content, often turning around edits on location in a timely manner. 
  • Involvement in content planning and brainstorming for upcoming races and non-track activity, helping to feed in disruptive creative concepts.

Executive Producer, Digital Content – Formula 1

  • Orchestrate development of video content for F1 digital platforms, including F1.com/F1 App, F1 social channels and branded content, select F1TV content.
  • Line-manage producers, editors, designers with a focused digital production mindset: defining professional and personal development pathways aligned with optimizing digital content engagement
  • Ensure full alignment and communication with Digital Content team; setting out meetings, communication, and tracking.

Partner Communications Executive – McLaren Racing

You’ll be based at our McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, but there may be some international travel to events on occasion. You’ll be reporting into the Partner Communications Manager but need to build strong relationships with people across both the wider Communications team and Marketing team. There may be some flexibility with working hours and travel required to fulfil this role effectively.

Principal Accountabilities:You’ll be the backbone of the Communications team, primarily supporting McLaren Racing’s Partner Communications, including but not limited to:

  • Supporting and managing the day-to-day running of the Comms team’s operations and activities, with specific focus on the Partner Communications function
  • Responsibility for Partner Communications press release distribution and support on wider integrated communications campaigns
  • Supporting on collaborative media opportunities with McLaren Racing partners from proactive and reactive sources
  • To maintain the Partner Communications tracking and reporting systems
  • Developing strong working relationships with McLaren’s partner leads, working closely to review partner content, activity planning and talent briefings
  • Assisting in the creation of quarterly, monthly and flash reports – with focus on the Partner Comms results

Brand Marketing Manager – Formula 1

Every one of the people working behind the scenes of Formula 1 are vital to keep the wheels turning. The role of Brand Marketing Manager is an important part of our Marketing team. 

Experienced in defining, developing and delivering brand campaigns, you will fulfil the brief to make Formula 1 one of the most influential companies in the world. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Brand Marketer to join our Marketing division on a 6-month fixed-term contract, based in our London office. 

Reporting into the Head of Brand, you will:

  • Work with the Head of Brand to create & manage brand marketing campaign planning
  • Work with F1’s internal studio and production teams, and external creative agencies, to develop and deliver a brand platform and campaign assets for 2023 season, as well as ongoing & seasonal Brand assets for use across the Formula 1 business
  • Work closely across the Marketing group to ensure campaigns are effective against KPI’s including relevant brand measurements / performance metrics. Deliver constant updates and comprehensive data analysis to support the functioning of the core business revenue functions

You have:

  • The ability to quickly adapt to new working environment, and fast paced matrix organizations
  • Experience of working with and best utilising owned and earned channels primarily, with role of paid media on top
  • Financial experience – budget analysis, P&L analysis, forecasting etc
  • Data-driven with an understanding of how to drive brand equity and value
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; spots opportunities that can be exploited commercially and relishes the challenge of operating in a re-alignment and scale-up environment

Purpose of the role: Strategic communications are a core priority for McLaren, focused on proactively amplifying the McLaren Racing brand to a broader audience through consumer lifestyle, technology, and business media, leveraging our partner network to create major communications and storytelling moments.

Working closely with the Director of Corporate Communications, the Brand Communications Manager will plan and execute all brand communications for McLaren Racing to support the business’ overall strategic objectives and to enhance the affinity of the McLaren brand among its global audiences and partner network.

This role is responsible for identifying high impact opportunities across international mainstream media to help tell the McLaren story and demonstrate thought leadership around key business priorities, ranging from Sustainability and Diversity, Equality & Inclusion to the business’ charity strategy and key programmes such as McLaren Racing Engage, helping forge pathways to STEM careers for young people from a range of backgrounds, and McLaren Accelerator. The Brand Communications Manager will also be instrumental in building out and driving our influencer strategy.

This role will be based in Woking at the McLaren Technology Centre and reports to the Director of Corporate Communications. Flexibility in working hours will be required as well as some time out of the office for meetings, events and a limited number of races.

Key Responsibilities Lead on consumer-facing communications initiatives that target awareness of McLaren Racing, and positively impact perception and sentiment of the McLaren brand, with a focus on tech, lifestyle, entertainment and business media 

Working with senior leaders and racing drivers to deliver high impact media opportunities beyond sports and racing coverage Working closely with the Sustainability Team to help drive positive engagement around McLaren’s sustainability strategy and key initiatives Collaborating with the People Team to highlight key DE&I initiatives and programmes as well as McLaren’s charity strategy 

Develop and manage influencer and celebrity engagement, to ensure return for the McLaren brand, and proactively seek relationships with relevant high-value influencers

Closely liaise with the marketing, partnerships, digital, content, events and social media teams to ensure alignment with overall strategic communications objectives 

Drive targeted regional media coverage and support McLaren as a responsible business and employer among its local communities 

Produce high-quality materials and assets including press releases, reports, spokesperson briefing documents, speeches, media correspondence and internal announcements

Conduct regular reporting and evaluation for brand communications led activities and media engagement

  • Demonstrable experience working across both UK and international mainstream media across all platforms
