Established in 1995, Clipper Ventures has grown significantly over the past 27 years, with a complementary range of sailing brands within its portfolio that supports pathways for recreational adventurers with no previous sailing experience through to professional seafarers.

CLIPPER RACE

This is a race without equal; one of the biggest challenges of the natural world and an endurance test like no other. The Clipper Race is a powerful blend of fiercely intense competition and stirring human endeavour. We aren’t afraid to compete and push boundaries – the world’s longest yacht race enables individuals to pit their wits, skills and courage against the world’s toughest oceans, with no previous sailing experience required.

This momentous biennial event is born from crew with a thirst for a life changing adventure, believing that anything is possible as they navigate the Doldrums en route to South America, endure epic Southern Ocean storms, experience South African sunsets, face the mountainous seas of the North Pacific – and create lifelong memories before returning as heroes.

The race is everything; it’s exciting, uncomfortable, exhilarating and at times frustrating. Since 1996 the Clipper Race has developed over 5,000 people into competent ocean racers and built a reputation for showcasing brands and building international trade links between partners and host destinations.

THE ROLE

The Clipper Race is looking for an experienced event manager to join a growing and dynamic team to manage Clipper Race Host Port partners. 

This role will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the Clipper 2023-24 Race (and beyond) Host Port stopovers. Working alongside the account managers we are looking for someone that has the skills to deliver a wide scope of events internationally to meet the business and tourism objectives of our partners, as well as the needs of the Clipper Race and our Race Crew.

The role will require international travel for 2-3 weeks at a time during the race year in line with Clipper Race stopovers. The rest of the time the role will be UK based at Clipper Race’ HQ office [PO12 1FX].

Key responsibilities: 

  • Relationship management with each of the Host Port Partners, supporting the Account Manager.
  • Organisation and delivery of the contractual Host Port Requirements, this is a list of facilities and services required in each destination.
  • Management of the stopover schedule alongside the Race Office and other departments.
  • Liaise with key departments in the planning and execution of the stopover including Communications, Race Office, Brand/Marketing and Accounts.
  • Organisation and delivery of a programme of events for the stopover. This would include events such as Clipper Connect Business Series, Prize Giving and briefings.
  • Support/assist the management of the stopover Race Crew App.
  • Ensure that risk assessments are completed, and event health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Ensure that events and the stopover are organised and delivered in line with Clipper Race sustainability guidance.
  • Be responsible for capturing event data during stopovers to feed into economic impact reporting.
  • Liaise with the Host Port Partner to create a wide race of Race Crew and visitor experiences.
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications teams to ensure that the stopover and its events are marketed properly to our stakeholders and audience.
  • Work with the Host Port Partner and the Operations and Logistics team to coordinate the site branding.
  • Support the wider Clipper Ventures events teams with projects such as SKIRR Adventures and Clipper Events.

You will also need to have:

  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a Major Event Management role ideally within sport/entertainment, or large-scale events.
  • Understanding of incident/crisis management.
  • Expertise in event planning, delivery and evaluation, communications and managing financial processes/budgets.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to manage your own time as well as more junior members of your team, delegating and managing as required.
  • A degree qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Competent in Microsoft 365, CRM systems and digital platforms.
  • Valid unrestricted passport.

The Senior Partnership Sales Manager will support the Commercial Team in pro-actively executing the sales strategy and securing new partners for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Director of Fan Engagement – Liverpool

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team as a Director of Fan Engagement!

What will you be doing?

  • Coordinate, lead and embed the LFC Fan Engagement framework into the DNA of the Club.
  • Influence and support stakeholders to understand best practises in engagement and challenge and educate areas that aren’t using the framework effectively.
  • Design, implement and run internal governance to ensure that the framework is operating effectively and proactively used. Provide board level reporting on the areas of success and areas where improvement is needed. 
  • Proactively organise meetings and consultations as needed. 
  • Ensure legal mandates are met both by the Club and the Supporters’ Trust.
  • Ensure we have conducted supporter consultations correctly as needed and meet our other legal responsibilities.
  • Proactively engage with supporters with a view, acting as a conduit for directing issues to the appropriate department and tracking issue resolution. 
  • Day to day management and building of relationships with Fan Groups ensuring the Club speaks and listens to fans in the right forums in a timely fashion. Record and track details of engagement with fans for future reference.
  • Lead Club work on the Premier League engagement standards alongside existing fan engagement frameworks. Ensure compliance to the standard completing any work needed to achieve this.
  • Assist the Club management teams on issues of supporter interest, ensuring all parties are fully always briefed and facilitating direct engagement with supporters when and where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve fan experiences for the long term.

As part of a strategic partnership between IMG and The R&A, this role will be embedded within The R&A’s management structure.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Production and publication of engaging editorial content for The Open and AIG Women’s Open official channels
  • Support of the wider content team in the production of assets including video, audio & social campaigns
  • Idea generation focused on high-quality storytelling that enhances the brands of The Open and AIG Women’s Open.
  • Website hygiene, including liaising with other departments of The R&A to ensure their respective areas – e.g. Ticketing, Spectator Advice, Travel – are kept up to date.
  • Keeping TheOpen.com and AIGWO the place to go for information and content relating to previous and future Championships
  • Ensuring metadata and SEO is optimised to drive conversion
  • Supporting on the ideation and implementation of app content and experiences
  • Supporting on content plans and workflow management
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job.

Knowledge And Experience

Mandatory

  • Strong knowledge of professional golf and a readiness to quickly become an expert in The Open and AIG Women’s Open
  • Experience of producing high-quality editorial for at least one recognised publication/website.
  • Relevant education and work experience
  • Good understanding of SEO
  • Working knowledge of planning tools eg. Trello or Monday.com

Desirable

  • Experience of different CMS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop

Working Conditions

Senior Producer, Branded Content – Tottenham Hotspur

The Senior Producer for Branded Content, will form a key part of internal video production team. They will contribute both creatively and technically to projects across the wider business, enhancing standards on all elements of video with a focus on branded content initiatives.

The Club operates out of multiple sites, including the Training Centre, where the position of Senior Producer will be based.

JOB PURPOSE

The internal production team are responsible for producing a mixture of news, match action, exclusive interviews, in-depth analysis, branded content, behind-the-scenes features as well as supporting our Marketing, Retail and PR teams. Content production is seen across all digital and social channels including our new OTT platform SPURSPLAY, broadcast globally, shown within the stadium, as well as syndicated to partners and external media. 

The Club is looking for a Senior Producer to work within the internal production team to drive the creative ideation, production, and post production operations on behalf of our partners.You will work with internal departments and external suppliers to contribute to the creative pitching, planning, and execution of our partners content rights.

You will be based at the Club’s training facility in Enfield with regular travel to and from shoots, as well as home and away match days when required.

Key Responsibilities:

You will liaise with stakeholders directly to contribute to the initial creative/pitches as well as budgeting needed to fulfil the campaigns.

You will be responsible for production and delivery of video content for our partners and their campaigns whilst meeting wider objectives and engaging our our audiences.

Work closely with the production management team to ensure the wider business are kept informed of progress and key information.

Branded content will be your primary focus but you will also be required to create content to support other commercial, PR, marketing and retail objectives.

Your work will be consumed on a number of different audience facing platforms, from the Clubs OTT platform, to the clubs social media channels. All content needs to be optimised for the highest effectiveness on these platforms.

Upload and distribute content across each platform to meet project deadlines.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience working in a similar role within an established production house.

Experience working as a camera operator (Sony FS7, C300 or equivalent)

Can edit quickly under pressure using Adobe Premiere Pro, with the ability to produce a wide range of video in different edit styles.

Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and have the necessary skills to build motion graphics within each video project.

Knowledge of innovation in video production and the broader digital landscape 

Working knowledge of current video and audio production/editing techniques

Efficient in the full Adobe Creative Suite

The ability to build case studies and report on individual video performance

Lighting experience

Copy, script and storyboard writing experience

Abillity to meet tight deadlines

Flexible with working hours and happy to work evenings, weekends and on site at match days as and when required.

Full clean driving licence and ability to travel to away matches where required.
