THE POSITION
FIFA tournaments are watched by billions of football fans around the world, who expect a high-quality viewing experience. Televising events of such magnitude is a massive undertaking in terms of technology, infrastructure, manpower and logistics. The Head of Host Broadcast Production is in charge of the development, planning and execution of the overall strategy for industry benchmark host broadcast productions, operations and services across all FIFA tournaments and events.
These are your key tasks:
- Lead the process of defining FIFA’s production editorial, technical and operational philosophy, standards and guidelines
- Lead the development and implementation of robust and cost-effective host broadcast production plans
- Procure, contract and assume daily management of external host broadcast and graphics suppliers
- Sustain the integration of FIFA football innovative technologies to enhance the game’s storytelling
- Oversee the planning and delivery of venue host and unilateral broadcast facilities
- Lead the site selection process as well as the design, planning, construction, operation and dismantling of international broadcast centers
- Conduct the design, setup and operation of signal transmission processes, enabling global distribution of live content
- Implement robust broadcast security measures
- Ensure development and execution of contingency plans to handle technical emergencies, with a view to seamless content delivery
- Ensure best practices and implementation of key learnings across events
- Benchmark other sport broadcasts and keep up to date with industry developments and trends
- Support the media partnership department in building and maintaining strong relationships with media rights licensees
- Work closely with the departments responsible for digital and non-live content production and delivery, identify synergies and ensure seamless integration
- Oversee and manage the host broadcast production department
- Produce and manage broadcast production budgets, forecasts and reports

The International Cricket Council (ICC) will release its Invitation To Tender (ITT) for the ICC’s Official Social Media Partner from 2024 until 2027.
Following the record-breaking social media performance of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 where fans recorded 16.3 billion video views of the event on Meta platforms – 9.7 billion on Facebook and 6.6 billion on Instagram – the ICC is now starting the process for the next cycle which begins with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA in June.
There are three packages on offer as a part of the tender which feature up to 13 ICC events until the end of 2027 and will include men’s and women’s senior and U19s events.
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said: “We are excited to be releasing the ITT for the ICC’s Official Social Media Partner as we continue to build the sport’s portfolio of digital and broadcast partners. The ICC’s digital platforms continue to go from strength to strength with incredible numbers of 16.3 billion video views recorded on Meta platforms for the recent Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. These numbers highlight the appetite for innovative and engaging ICC event content globally and we look forward to building on this success further in the next cycle.”

Background
England Hockey’s mission is to “share the love of hockey and work together to make hockey more visible, relevant and accessible to all”. The current focus for the organisation is delivery of its 5 objectives within the 2023-2028 strategic plan which can be found on the England Hockey Website.
England Hockey is the National Governing Body for the sport of Hockey in England and is responsible for the management and development of the sport from grass roots to elite activities. We:
- Have a membership comprising clubs (750+), counties (42), and Areas (8) that affiliate to it. Approximately 160,000 individuals play in the club system, with an estimated 20,000 playing at university/colleges. C.900,000 children play at school. More than 15,000 coaches, umpires and officials are supported / developed.
- Have an income/expenditure of average £9m p.a. The Chief Executive is directly responsible for the operational budget but the Board, chaired by the Non-Executive Chair, approves the annual plan and budget.
- Employ 78 staff, and contract with approximately 50 part time consultants mostly in the performance and coaching area. Circa 50 volunteers work at national level to run the sport, with thousands more running the great bulk of grass roots hockey.
- Are currently the ‘nominated country’ on behalf of Great Britain Hockey to qualify and prepare the Great Britain squads for the Olympics. The England Hockey Chief Executive, Performance Director and Head Coaches represent Great Britain as well as England Hockey. There is a Great Britain President to chair the Great Britain board which meets three times a year.
NATURE AND SCOPE
An Olympic year offers the biggest opportunities for sport than any other year of the cycle and England Hockey is passionate about maximising exposure and engagement with its community throughout 2024.
Audience engagement, strong communications and creative content is a key part of the strategy, and this role will be key in engaging with our members and audiences, raising the profile of the game, and increasing commercial interest in the sport.
The Olympic Engagement Lead will support the team to deliver our communications strategy and ensure all areas of the sport benefit from the Oympic Games.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project manage and deliver creative, exciting, and effective Olympic focused communications plans and campaigns to deliver across all England Hockey’s organisation objectives, working closely with content and marketing team colleagues
- Have a working understanding of the media and how to build positive and collaborative relationships with them, with proven experience of driving and selling in coverage through selling in and press releases
- Lead on generating coverage and exposure, in the build-up and during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
- Work cross departmentally to ensure that all audiences are engaged with appropriately
- Sit on the Olympic Games activation working group and ensure that communications are effective across multi-platforms and to multiple audiences
- Deputise for the Communications and Media Manager when needed including during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
- Experience in conducting interviews, and experience and ability in creating and delivering content through a range of owned communications channels such as websites, social media channels, email broadcast tools
- Use our content management system to maintain and publish content on our websites, ensuring that it is user-focussed, accessible and in-line with our tone of voice
- Proactively ensure website copy is current and accurate and manage the web updating process by supporting our network of website editors to deliver clear messages and engaging content
- Working closely with others across the department, use our CRM platform to build, review and manage our email campaigns.
- Produce and present results as required and use findings to inform recommendations and best practice
- Research, and gather feedback from our key audiences so we understand their needs and behaviours
- Develop expert evidence-based knowledge and understanding of our audiences and apply this to our content, especially around issues that may be challenging or sensitive

Qualifications and Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong experience of the full creative process – briefing, planning, developing, execution, and evaluation.
- A proven track record of researching and analysing audience communications needs and implementing effective engagement strategies.
- Previous experience working within communications roles for a sport National Governing Body or similar field
- Excellent IT knowledge – comfortable with Outlook, MS Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
- Experience working with Kentico, CMS, CRM and e-marketing systems desirable.

The International Cricket Council has released its Invitation To Tender (ITT) for media rights in three territories, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka for 2024 to 2025.
Following the successful conclusion of media rights agreements in several markets including India, the United Kingdom and Ireland, the USA and Canada, Sub-Saharan Africa region, Australia and Middle East and North Africa the ICC is now starting the process in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
In Pakistan there are two packages available combining both TV and digital rights including both men’s and women’s rights, with one TV and digital combined package available in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka respectively. The packages will be for three women’s events and three men’s events up until the end of next year.
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said: “We are delighted to be releasing the ITT for media rights in three of cricket’s major broadcast markets in South Asia, namely Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, as we continue to build our team of broadcast partners who will take ICC events to more fans across the world.”

The World Freestyle Football Association announced on January 30th, 2024 the opening of the selection process to elect the Destinations that will host the major events of the official Freestyle Football competitive circuit during the 2025 season, including the five physical competitions of the Pulse Series and the jewel of the crown of the tour – the World Freestyle Football Championship.
All candidates (be them event agencies, city councils or any other kind of organisations) will be required to follow a process that will allow the WFFA experts to evaluate their proposal, including not just the physical facilities they can offer to the participant athletes but also the values and adequacy of the candidacy.
The selection procedure will include four stages, during which the candidates will be asked to provide key information about their proposal.
Table Tennis England has secured the rights to host the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships 2026 (WTTTC26).
The WTTTC26 will celebrate 100 years of international table tennis which was born in London in 1926 and we cannot wait to bring the global game together at the OVO Arena, Wembley in April 2026 to celebrate this momentous time in our sports history.
The WTTTC26 Stakeholder Board will operate under the governance of a newly established company, TT International Events Ltd (TTIE), to assume strategic oversight of the championships. In turn, TTIE has established the WTTTC26 Stakeholder Board to ensure the championships is delivered under the terms of the awarding of the WTTTC26 by the delegates at the ITTF AGM on 24 August 2023.
We are now recruiting an Independent Chair of the WTTTC26 Stakeholder Board.
This is a voluntary position and fixed term until three months after the conclusion of the championships (circa August 2026).
