February 13, 2017

World champion welterweight boxer Manny Pacquiao has asked his Twitter followers to choose his next opponent.

The Filipino fighter, who is currently serving as Senator of the Philippines, has over 108,000 followers on the social networking site. He has offered fans four options to select from: Brits Amir Khan and Kell Brook, Australia’s Jeff Horn and American Terence Crawford.

The poll, which has been completed by over 14,800 users, currently shows former light-welterweight world champion Khan as the most popular choice. The Bolton-born orthodox fighter currently has 47% of the vote, with Brook and Crawford each with 24% and Horn with 5%.

The bout, which Pacquiao says will take place in the UAE, will be his first since November; when he claimed the WBO title from Jessie Vargas in his comeback match after retirement in April.

Khan lost his last fight against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. while Pacquiao’s last loss came in the much-publicised ‘Fight of the Century’ against Floyd Mayweather in May 2015.
