Manchester City and GoPro Announce New Project

Manchester City have announced a new project with versatile camera manufacturer GoPro, herbal which will give fans access to ‘never-before-seen’ content.

GoPro is loved by extreme sports fans, who use the action point-of-view filming to capture unique shots.

Now, Premier League club City have announced that training and exclusive content from the club’s pre-season tour of New York was filmed by the GoPro team with their new HERO3 cameras.

First team players such as Joe Hart (pictured) and Samir Nasri were amongst the players to have the cameras fited to them during training sessions.

Tom Glick, Chief Commercial and Operating Officer for Manchester City, said: “As a Club we have always been passionate about providing fans with content that is not only immersive and captivating, but a true reflection of what goes on behind-the-scenes on and off the pitch also.

“GoPro has enabled us to take that philosophy to the next level, combining both their cutting edge technology and expertise in capturing raw point-of-view sports footage.”

GoPro’s Head of Production, Wil Tidman added: “It was an honor for GoPro to work with Manchester City.  The experience provided an amazing opportunity to showcase the unique perspectives and competitive edge our camera can offer to one of the most elite football teams in the world.”
