August 15, 2013

Major Events International (MEI), a provider of market entry services for sporting events worldwide, has confirmed its attendance at Rugby Expo 2013.

As part of the agreement, MEI will be exhibiting at the sport’s largest business-to-business event at Twickenham on 13-14 November, as well as providing support pre-event as an official media partner.

MEI will also be promoting Rugby Expo 2013 to its members, as an event that it sees as key with upcoming and future major events in sport.

A part of a global major events network, MEI provides market penetration and bid consultancy services to companies aspiring to be more competitive in the global major events marketplace. Its specialities include international market profile enhancement, strategy development and in-country entry support.

Commenting on the partnership, MEI’s client relationship director Piers Lawson said: “As a media partner and also having attended the event for the past two years, we have witnessed Rugby Expo’s progression and growth first hand; consequently we see our extended involvement with this year’s show as a great opportunity and an event that we are excited to be a part of.”

Jason McMahon, Rugby Expo sales manager, said: “Major Events International provides that link and support for companies who recognise the commercial opportunities available through large-scale events and MEI’s extensive experience and awareness will certainly be of interest to many of our delegates at Rugby Expo; we’re delighted to have Piers and his team on board.”
