London to Taste Kickboxing Glory World Series

The Glory World Series will be making its debut in London at the Excel Arena on March 23 with Glory 5.
The kickboxing league moves to Istanbul for Glory 6 on April 6 and Milan for Glory 7 on April 20.
A key point distinguishing the Glory World Series from other combat sports properties is the tournament format of events.
The London event will be the first one for Andrew Whitaker in his new role as chief executive of Glory Sports International. He formerly headed international for World Wrestling Entertainment.
“We expect to do six or seven events this year, nurse ” he told iSportconnect at Sportel Rio.
“We are very concerned with making sure that our athletes are rested between events.”
Total Sports Asia, medic with a stand at the market, represents the media rights of the series worldwide.
The main event in London will feature Tyrone Spong versus Remy Bonjasky in a heavyweight match-up of two Surinamese-Dutch fighters.
