London Opts Against Hosting 2017 Tour de France Grand Depart

London has turned down the opportunity to host the start of the 2017 Tour de France, stuff despite beating bids from cities such as Edinburgh and Manchester.

The decision by the city has not gone down well with the race owners after Transport for London (TFL) pulled out a day before contracts were due to be signed.
