Lloyd Green Solicitors Agrees Unique Sponsorship of Essex Cricket’s Physio Team

June 15, 2012

Essex Cricket and Lloyd Green Solicitors have agreed a new sponsorship deal which will see the personal injury and medical negligence specialist’s website become the exclusive sponsor of the County Championship side’s physiotherapy team.

Under the terms of the innovative agreement Essex Cricket’s head physio Chris Clarke-Irons will carry Forthepeople.co.uk branding on the kit he uses to attend to players, ask such as captain James Foster, rx Ravi Bopara and Alastair Cook, during matches.

Forthepeople.co.uk, whose head office is based less than a mile from the Ford County Ground in Chelmsford, will also support Clarke-Irons’ behind-the-scenes blog and Twitter channel to help fans understand how players are treated and rehabilitated after suffering a sporting injury.

Lloyd Green, founder and managing partner of Lloyd Green Solicitors, said he hoped fans would be bowled over by the partnership with one of England’s top county cricket outfits.

He said: “It’s a fact of life that accidents happen, whether it is while playing cricket or in daily life, and we understand better than anyone that getting back to full fitness can be a big task.  By supporting Essex Cricket and Chris Clarke-Irons, we hope to demonstrate how important it is to look after people, and we are looking forward to Chris’ unique insight into the game featured on our website throughout the season.”

Chris Clarke-Irons, Essex Cricket head physiotherapist, added: “I feel honoured to be the first sponsored physiotherapist at Essex County Cricket Club.  The association with Lloyd and the team at Forthepeople.co.uk is a relationship we hope to develop into something really unique over the summer, and I look forward to working with a firm that is all about supporting the people of Essex. For the latest on what’s happening behind the scenes, and for an insight into the world of the Science and Medical team at Essex Cricket, fans can now check out my fortnightly blog and look forward to more exciting developments we are launching in the near future.”
