Liverpool Appoint Andy Hughes as Chief Financial Officer

Andy Hughes has been appointed as Liverpool Football Club’s new chief financial offier to lead the club’s financial operations.
Hughes has held senior positions at Hilton Hotels and the Cendant Corporation and trained with Ernst & Young.
Prior to his new role, Hughes was chief financial officer at Guomon and Thistle Hotels and he said he was ‘very proud’ to be joining the Merseyside club.
Hughes said: “I am very proud to join Liverpool Football Club – a brand that is recognised all over the world. It’s an exciting time to be joining and there is real opportunity to further develop the club’s financial operations.”
Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre added: “Andy has a long track record of delivering successful results in a variety of challenging roles.
“He will be responsible for all of the club’s financial management and I am delighted to announce this appointment.”
Hughes will take up his position on July 8.
