Korea, New Jersey and Mexico Fail to Make 2014 Formula 1 Calendar

December 4, 2013

The FIA World Motorsport Council has announced the calendar for the 2014 Formula 1 season and as expected, help the Korea, story Mexico and New Jersey Grand Prix’s have been dropped.

Reports suggest that financial problems have seen Korea lose its position after four years on the calendar, whilst the New Jersey race was dropped from the 22-race provisional calendar in September, so was not expected to make the definitive list.

Mexico has not featured in the season since 1992 but there is still hope it could feature in the 2015 calendar.

Further changes include the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix moving to the end of the season from the original October 26 date.

Brazil is now moved forward to November 9 and the US GP in Austin is moved forward a week to November 2.

The news means that the 2014 season will be competed over 19 races.
