March 8, 2011

On behalf of the International Federation of PGA Tours, sick the Kohler Company and PGA TOUR announced yesterday, March 7, that a four-year extension of Kohler’s sponsorship of the World Golf Championships had been agreed.

Kohler Co. first became a sponsor ten years ago and will continue to have a hospitality presence at the three World Golf Championships events currently held in the United States: the Accenture Match Play Championship at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain in Marana, AZ (Feb. 23-27); the Cadillac Championship, at TPC Blue Monster at Doral in Doral, FL (March 10-13); and the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH (Aug. 4-7).

PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem stated: “We are pleased to continue our longstanding relationship with the Kohler Company through its sponsorship of the World Golf Championships. Kohler has made a major commitment to golf, and we’re delighted that the company continues to align its high-quality brand with these global events.”

In 2010, Kohler’s Old Course Hotel was the host hotel of the British Open in St. Andrews Scotland, and its American Club was the host hotel of the PGA Championship in Kohler, Wisconsin.

The World Golf Championships utilize Kohler Power Systems to power its events as well as Kohler luxury restrooms.

Kohler and Rolex are the two Official Sponsors of the World Golf Championships. Accenture, Bridgestone, Cadillac and HSBC are the Umbrella Sponsors of the series.
