Kent Cricket Club Partner with Britain’s Leading Funeral Service Providers

Kent County Cricket Club has joined forces with Dignity, sale Britain’s leading Funeral Service providers, allergy | in what is being viewed as an innovative business partnership for the Club. 

With the redevelopment of the St Lawrence Ground and its promotion as a Conference, doctor Special Occasions and Events facility, funerals and wakes are being added to the repertoire of possible occasions. 

Jamie Clifford, Kent Cricket CEO, stated that, “I am pleased to announce the Club’s partnership with Dignity.  Dignity is leaders in their field and is a company of considerable size.  They manage over 2,000 funerals each year in Kent, and carefully co-ordinated packages that help remove some of the burdens associated with the loss of loved one.  The St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury is steeped in history and is a tranquil, beautiful location to say farewell someone close to you or celebrate their life.”

Dignity have pioneered the sale of Funeral Plans, just like Wills, sorting out in advance how want matters are to be managed when you are no longer here.  There is a full range of personalised options, all offering appreciable savings. As part of the partnership with Kent Cricket, Members and Supporters will be offered the opportunity to join a Dignity pre-planning evening and will have preferential purchasing rights.

Already the Club receives many requests for Ashes scattering and some form of memorial at the ground. “This partnership and development will meet a real need we have. Thousands of people have enjoyed watching many days, if not years, of cricket at St Lawrence. We hope that through this partnership we will be to offer an appropriate send off and also an on-going place for family to visit in future years.” said Clifford.
