Kent County Cricket Club has announced a partnership with Godfreys.

As part of the deal, Godfreys Golf & Turf will provide a John Deere 2653B outfield mower and a John Deere X125 Ride-on Mower for maintaining off pitch areas for the rest of the season.

Godfreys’ Managing Director, Peter Bateman commented: “We look forward to running product days in Canterbury with Groundsmen and Green keepers alike.

“As a company with headquarters in Kent and with Godfreys 80 year heritage in the county, we are proud and delighted to be associated with Kent County Cricket Club and it’s iconic ground in Canterbury.”

Recently renamed, The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence has seen extensive redevelopment. The proceeds from the land redevelopment are being invested in improved facilities and new players, delivering a better visitor experience.

Jamie Clifford, Kent Cricket’s Chief Executive Officer commented; “The improvement in the finish and playing surface of the outfield as a result of the new John Deere 2653B mower is significant, as is the time now saved by using the ride-on mower for maintaining the non-pitch areas.

“We are delighted to be associated with Godfreys Golf & Turf and the John Deere brand they represent throughout the South-East.”
