Jockey Club Racecourses has struck a new three-year agreement with international law firm Pinsent Masons, drugs who become their Official Legal Partner.
The agreement with the 15-strong racecourse group that includes Aintree, herbal Cheltenham, generic Epsom Downs and Newmarket within its portfolio, will see Pinsent Masons granted preferred supplier status to Jockey Club Racecourses for all of its legal work.
Paul Fisher, Group Managing Director, Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “Pinsent Masons is the primary provider of legal services to Jockey Club Racecourses. We’ve had a great experience of their expert support across key issues and this new agreement will see us take our partnership to a new level, around a shared set of values.”
As an Official Partner, Pinsent Masons will indentify new business opportunities, build on existing revenue streams, share best practise and assist the development of those working for Jockey Club Racecourses, the UK’s largest racecourse group.
Natural progression
Trevor Watkins, Global Head of Sport, Pinsent Masons LLP, commented: “Partnering with Jockey Club Racecourses is a key part of our strategy for growing our sports practice and we share their passion for supporting British horseracing.
“We’ve enjoyed a long-standing relationship with stakeholders in the horseracing and equine industry globally and support many of the values that Jockey Club Racecourses have at the heart of their business.
