German football club VfB Stuttgart has agreed a four-year deal with Jako to become the Bundesliga side’s official kit partner.
The agreement comes into effect at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, with Jako replacing Puma. The sportswear company will provide kits and other clothing for Stuttgart’s senior teams and youth sides. Jako will also serve as an official partner and presenter of the VfB School of Football.
Jochen Röttgermann, Director of Marketing and Sales at VfB Stuttgart, said of the partnership: “We undertook an extensive probing of the market and held countless discussions in search of the best solution for VfB. Jako is a company on the up-and-up, with, just as VfB, their roots in the region and that follow ambitious targets. Jako is a highly professional outfitter and they have guaranteed their support for our professional team, through to the children from the VfB School of Football.
“Jako is a highly professional outfitter and they have guaranteed their support for our professional team, through to the children from the VfB School of Football. In the overall package of outfitting and sponsoring, that means improved financial takings, which we intend to follow along with our sporting ambitions.”
VfB finished 7th in the German top flight this season, just outside the European qualification places.
