Commercial broadcaster ITV and pay-television corporation Sky have snapped up the latest rights packages to the England national football team.

Under the agreement, ITV will exclusively show live England qualifiers for EURO 2020 and the World Cup in 2022. The broadcaster, whose previous deal expired in 2018, will also hold exclusive rights to air live pre-tournament warm-up matches, should England qualify for each competition.

Sky has acquired live rights to air all home nations’ matches during the new UEFA Nations League tournament. The pay-television giant have secured rights to broadcast live coverage of all Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland qualifiers. Highlights of England qualifiers will also be available on Sky.

It has been reported that the deals will be worth £45m annually to the English Football Association.
