iSportconnect and Populous Announce New Stadium Masterclass Event

iSportconnect, prostate the world’s largest private network for sport business professionals, price sale and international sports architects Populous today announced that they would be holding a Masterclass in London on Tuesday, pills 7 October to discuss emerging trends in stadium hospitality.

The iSportconnect Masterclass will be held at Emirates Stadium and will include the opportunity for short tours prior to the Panel session.

Leaders in the field of hospitality will join with Populous to workshop new ways to provide fantastic event experiences within stadia and arenas for everyone from general admission fans through to corporate and member hospitality offerings.

The exclusive, invitation only Masterclass series, is a unique gathering giving sports stadium hospitality executives the chance to learn from other top level executives, hear industry insight based on pre-submitted questions, join in on group debates and network in a relaxed environment.

Charles Allen (pictured right), Head of Marketing at Arsenal FC and Steve Brice (pictured left), Vice President Premium Seating with AEG will lead the panel discussion to present ideas developed with the team from Populous – world leaders in designing exciting, sustainable and innovative sports and entertainment venues.

Populous, under the leadership of architects Rod Sheard, Nicholas Reynolds, Christopher Lee, Ben Vickery and Mike Trice has designed over 1000 of the world’s leading sports stadia and arenas. As leaders in the field of venue design, Populous has earned a reputation for knowing the clients’ business, allowing it to design new ways of generating long term revenue and providing amazing experiences for millions of fans.

Charles Allen heads up the team responsible for the match day experience at Arsenal from the fans to the top end corporates, as part of the wider commercial and marketing strategies for the Club – a role he has held for the past 4 years.   In a career spanning 25 years his experience ranges from commercial roles with Coca-Cola Schweppes in the UK, to international commercial and senior marketing roles with Diageo plc in Argentina, Peru, Chile, Mexico and the Netherlands, and more recently in UK Marketing with PepsiCo

In his current role, Steve Brice is responsible for the strategic overview of all commercial and operational activities for premium seating across the AEG international venues outside the America’s– from the catering operation, to Merchandise, Hospitality sales, Premium sales and customer services.

Prior to joining AEG, Steve managed the corporate hospitality, conference & banqueting transition for Arsenal Football Club from Highbury to Emirates Stadium. He has also held senior roles within the RHT group and managed the multi-million pound reconstruction and development of Sandown Park.
