IRB Junior World Championship 2013 to Reach Record Audience

The International Rugby Board’s (IRB) Junior World Championship 2013 is to reach a larger audience than ever before. The tournament will be broadcast in 184 countries around the world and reach almost 317 million homes.
More than 280 hours of the under 20 tournament will be broadcast on television. In addition, 17 matches will be streamed live on the IRB website.
The sixth IRB Junior World Championship begins in France on 5 June.
IRB Chairman Bernard Lapasset said: “This competition is magical. It provides some of the best Rugby on offer at this age level. Rugby fans around the globe associate the IRB Junior World Championship with open, running Rugby played by the 12 best under age teams in the world and I have no doubt that the excitement on the field will be matched by the warm welcome and hospitality that will greet the teams and their fans.”
