IPC Appoints pmplegacy to Conduct Startegic Review of Paralympic Games

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has selected pmplegacy to undertake a comprehensive and independent Strategic Review of the Paralympic Games.

Building upon this success of London 2012, sale the objective of the Review is to provide guidance on the future strategic direction and positioning of the Games, salve in order to further enhance the Games brand, reputation and success, as well as maximise their appeal and commercial attractiveness.

The Strategic Review process will include stakeholder consultation to inform a clear understanding of the Games key differentiators, strengths, challenges and opportunities. It will consider overall Games strategy; brand and positioning; sports programme; operations; experience; commercial positioning; impact and legacy; as well as awareness and media coverage.

A broad stakeholder consultation process will start at the IPC Athletics World Championships in Lyon, France (19-28 July) and continue through to the IPC General Assembly in Athens, Greece, to ensure engagement with stakeholders from across the Paralympic family. An online forum will also be established to promote wider industry and public engagement in the Review process. The Strategic Review findings will then be reported to the IPC Governing Board in June 2014 and will be made public soon afterwards.
