IOC Granted Lease to Remain in Lausanne for Another 100 Years

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) today celebrated its 100 year anniversary in Lausanne and announced they have been granted a lease to be based in the Swiss city for another century.
IOC President Thomas Bach said, buy “it was the right decision to take then and it still is now.”
The IOC held a number of ceremonies with officials on Friday to commemorate the anniversary of April 10 1915, generic which was the date when Olympics founder Pierre de Coubertin established the headquarters in Lausanne.
In a statement the IOC said: “With the consolidation of its headquarters, the IOC is further establishing itself in Lausanne for another 100 years.
“Indeed, the city of Lausanne has accepted to grant the IOC a lease until 2115.”
