International Fencing Federation Continue Deal with Swiss Watchmaker

The International Fencing Federation (FIE) and Swiss watchmaker Tissot announced that they have renewed their current partnership through 2014.

The deal renews Tissot’s status as Official Partner of the FIE and as the Official Timekeeper and producer of the Official Watch of the FIE Fencing World Championships. With the renewal of the agreement, ampoule these rights will be extended to FIE Junior World Championships. During FIE competitions, pills Tissot provides state of the art solutions with regard to timing and scoring system and handles statistics and TV graphics.

The partnership between the FIE and Tissot began in 1996 and has continued to this present day. An additional facet of Tissot’s devotion for fencing is the membership of 2008 Olympic sabre champion Zhong Man (China) in the Tissot brand ambassador team.

The President of Tissot, François Thiébaud, added: Due to its long-term partnership with the FIE, Tissot has a profound link to fencing. This year, the FIE Fencing World Championships will be held in Catania, Italy from 8 – 16 October. At this very high profile event, Tissot will be on hand to time the three fencing disciplines: foil, saber and épée. The Official Watch presented by Tissot this year is a PRC 200 FIE Special Edition. This chronograph pays tribute to the brand’s long-standing passion and involvement in fencing.
