Indian Super League Postponed

The new Indian Super League soccer completion which was to feature former stars of the game has been postponed.

Reports suggest the tournament will now be held in September 2014, anesthetist instead of January to March, because of opposition from leading clubs and a lack of time to prepare.

An official statement read: “Keeping in view of various key factors, including scheduling conflicts with the (national) I-League, it has been decided to launch the Indian Super League on a permanent window of September to November starting from year 2014.”

Kolkata-based Telegraph newspaper quoted unnamed sources as saying the possible frnachise owners had told the All India Football Federation (AIFF) they had run out of time to prepare.

Early reports showed that the event would feature the likes of Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Dwight Yorke, Hernan Crespo and more.
