IAAF World Championships To be Broadcast In Over 200 Territories

The IAAF World Athletics Championships, viagra being held in Daegu, Korea from 27 August to 4 September, will be watched by viewers in more than 200 countries

The sales of broadcasting rights for the IAAF World Athletics Series of which the World Championships is the main event, are brokered by Dentsu, the IAAF Commercial Partner for media rights outside Europe and Africa, and IEC in Sports, the IAAF Media Agency for Europe and Africa.

A number of last minute deals have been finalised for Daegu 2011 consolidating an already good portfolio of TV deals concluded around the world in recent months.

In Russia, IEC in Sports, have finalised a deal with the public broadcaster Rossija for the IAAF World Championships, Daegu 2011, with at least all evening sessions being shown live.

In other last minute moves a deal with RUV, the public broadcaster in the territory of Iceland, has been confirmed for Daegu 2011, while following the conclusion of an extensive deal with newly launched channel SPTV in Croatia, a second agreement in this territory with public broadcaster HRT has also been finalised in time for Daegu.

“With this last array of deals I am very pleased to note it can be said that individual deals have been attained in close to 30 territories in Europe including virtually all key territories,” confirmed President Diack. “In addition, their previously announced deal with Eurosport guarantees Pan-European coverage, while Dentsu have already confirmed virtually every single territory outside Europe and Africa.”
