Hyundai Named Official Automobile Partner of Texas Rangers

July 29, 2014

Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise Texas Rangers have announced that the club has entered into a five-year sponsorship with Hyundai extending through the 2018 season.

Hyundai is now an official automotive partner of the Rangers. The partnership includes a complete rebranding of the former Batter’s Eye Club, the indoor seating area located in centerfield that provides a spectacular view of the playing field. The new Hyundai Club includes Hyundai signage on the metal railings, Hyundai-branded HDTV’s and stairs that bear the Hyundai logo leading up to the Club.

In addition, the roof will also feature a back-lit Hyundai logo, which will illuminate each time the Rangers produce a hit and will be in operation for the first time on August 11.

“The Rangers are proud to be entering into this long-term sponsorship with Hyundai,” commented Rangers Sr. Vice President, Partnerships and Client Services Jim Cochrane. “Globe Life Park in Arlington has an exciting new look with the rebranded Hyundai Club and we look forward to working with Hyundai now and in the future.”

“Hyundai’s sponsorship of the Texas Rangers is a great way for us to connect with some of baseball’s most loyal and dedicated fans,” said Tom Hetrick, South Central Regional General Manager, Hyundai Motor America. “We’re excited to begin a long-standing relationship with the Texas Rangers and continue our legacy of connecting with fans of high-profile sporting events.”
