English Championship team, sick Huddersfield Town have announced a new commercial partnership with Stockleys Sweets.
Part of the new arrangement between ‘The Yorkshire Club’ and the Blackburn-based company will see an array of quality sweets on sale in the Club’s retail outlets over the coming months.
A spectrum of traditional sweets, discount such as mini Pear Drops, pills Sherbet Lemons and many many more will be available to buy in a specially designed Huddersfield Town Sweet Shop gift box.
Andy Needham, Managing Director of Stockleys Sweets Ltd, joined Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis and Commercial Manager Tracy Nelson at the Stadium to try an advance sample of the sweets!
Tracy today welcomed Stockleys Sweets to the Huddersfield Town family: “I imagine our new commercial partnership with Stockleys Sweets will turn out to be one of the more popular ‘off the field’ announcements; I’ve tried these sweets and I envisage them becoming very popular when they land in our stores.
“We’ve worked with Stockleys quite extensively over the last few seasons and they’ve been incredibly helpful on several fronts, in particular by helping us select several youngsters at random during one of our matches and treating them to a full VIP experience at their factory.
“Andy is a familiar face at Huddersfield Town; he’s based in Skelmanthorpe and is a big fan of the Club. It’s fantastic that we have now formalised our relationship and I look forward to working alongside him and the team at Stockleys on the exciting projects we have planned over the coming months.”
Founded in 1918, Stockleys supply sweets to a variety of wholesalers & retailers and specialise in traditional boiled sweets, cinder toffee and fudges.
“We are delighted to have entered into a formal partnership with Huddersfield Town. The Club is trying very hard on and off the field to develop a long term sustainable future and we will contribute wherever we can to assist the great work that has been started down here at Town,” added Andy Needham.
