Hong Kong Pay-TV Service Acquire UEFA Euro 2012 Rights

Hong Kong-based pay-TV service provider Now TV has extended its agreement with Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and captured the media rights of the UEFA Euro 2012 soccer tournament to broadcast all 31 matches live in HD.

Sixteen national teams will compete for the UEFA European Football Championship between 8 June 2012 and 1 July 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.

Apart from broadcasting all matches live in HD, now TV will also provide a range of lead-in and support programming, pre-tournament programmes, daily and weekly highlights and tournament reviews. Fans can also watch their matches via the now Select on-demand service and live broadcast on other platforms of PCCW’s quadruple-play service including internet, fixed-line and mobile.

Subscribers of Now TV’s new Premium Mega Sports Pack will be able to access all 31 UEFA Euro 2012 matches at no additional charge.

The Premium Mega Sports Pack also offers a lineup of sports content including Spanish La Liga, English FA Cup, Italian Serie A, MUTV, NBA, US Open, IAAF World Athletics Championships 2011, FIVB World Grand Prix and World Snooker Tour.
