Honda to Sponsor Young Boys Bern
November 6, 2013
Young Boys Bern of the Swiss Super League has agreed a new partnership with Honda with the Japanese automobile manufacturer signing on as a main sponsor until 2016-17 season.
As part of the deal, abortion Honda will benefit from front-of-shirt sponsorship with Young Boys, unhealthy along with branding on training kit. Honda will also provide the team and club staff with a fleet of vehicles, while enjoying promotional and hospitality opportunities at home matches. As a result of the deal with Honda, Young Boys’ long-term partnership with French manufacturer Citroen as a premium sponsor and car partner will be discontinued in late 2013. Honda also replaces the Laureus Foundation as main shirt sponsor but the sporting charity will remain as the club’s official charity partner in line with an agreement signed in July.
Alain Kappeler, chief operating officer of Young Boys Bern, said: “It is most gratifying for us that a global brand such as Honda chooses to become the main sponsor of YB. This makes us proud and highlights the wide influence of the BSC Young Boys. In the discussions it was immediately expressed that Honda and YB match each other and we want to maintain an exciting collaboration in the coming years. I am convinced that YB and Honda will benefit to a large extent from each other.”
Hiroshi Nomura, president of Honda Suisse, added: “We want with our appearance at Young Boys to anchor the Honda brand in Switzerland and draw even better attention in particular to the diversity of our products. Our Power of Dreams slogan fits perfectly into the emotional world of football.”
