Hibernian Sign Nike as Official Technical Partner

Scottish Premier League (SPL) club Hibernian have entered into a four-year agreement with Nike who become the team’s official technical partner until 2017.

Nike will provide Hibs with professional kits, view replica kits and training wear, ambulance starting on June 7 at the unveiling of their new home kit.

The club shop at Easter Road will also be refitted as a Nike Store, clinic but Just Sport will continue to manage the club’s retail operation.

Rod Petrie, chairman of Hibernian, said: “Everyone at the club is excited about securing the number one global sportswear brand as our new technical partner for the next four years.

“Nike is synonymous with sporting excellence and has a rich heritage in providing the highest quality of products throughout professional sport.”

The deal means that the club will end their four-year spell with Puma.

Hibernian finished seventh in the SPL and reached the final of the Scottish Cup final, where they were turned over 3-0 by champions Celtic.

However, the team will play in the Europa League next year, starting from the second qualifying round as a result of their cup run.
