Harlequins, the current Aviva Premiership champions, announced today that Roderick Charles, retailer of classic men’s tailoring, will become the official formal wear clothing supplier to the club.
The two year partnership will see the clothing company provide tailored blazers and chinos for Harlequins players and coaches, as well as tailored suits for Harlequins staff.
Founded in 1992 in the City of London, the tailor has grown to ten outlets located throughout the Square Mile, London’s West End and Battersea. With an emphasis on traditional styling and the use of hard-wearing British milled cloths, Roderick Charles can dress a man for any occasion, be it business, formal or country.
Announcing the sponsorship Roddy Gale, Roderick Charles Managing Director said, “Roderick Charles are delighted to be named official formal wear sponsors to Harlequins. The high profile of the club and the demographics of its supporter base make it an ideal match for our brand.
“From showcasing our bespoke service through the supply of blazers and chino trousers to the players and suits to non-playing staff we hope to reach a new audience who may not have heard of us beyond our traditional customer base in the Square Mile.
“It’s not just about bespoke tailoring, we also carry a range of off-the-peg clothing including moleskin trousers and tweed jackets, ideal attire for a day at the rugby followed by a few celebratory drinks at the pub!”
Commenting on the sponsorship, James Kendall, Harlequins Commercial Director added:”We’re pleased that Roderick Charles has become one of our commercial partners. The company enjoys an excellent reputation among the City business community, an audience that is important to this club. We look forward to developing our partnership to mutual benefit over the next two years.”
This sponsorship was introduced and brokered by brandmeetsbrand.
