J.J. Threads, the internet’s premier customized-fashion brand, today named 2012 Summer Olympics competitor Samyr Laine as its first global brand ambassador to represent its quality customized dress shirts.

The Harvard-trained Olympian will be competing in the upcoming track and field triple jump event for Haiti; finals to be held on August 9, 2012.

“Being a competitive athlete, it’s important for me to have clothing that moves with me and doesn’t weigh me down. J.J. Threads’ shirts are not only stylish and one-of-a-kind, but the fit and wear are fantastic for my needs. I am excited to have been chosen as a brand ambassador,” said Haiti Track and Field Olympian Samyr Laine.

“We are really excited to have Samyr Laine represent J.J. Threads internationally as our first brand ambassador. We believe that shirts should look and feel great — our innovative customized design approach ensures that everything is tailored for the individual. Samyr’s athletic strength and philanthropic commitment to Haiti speaks internationally and is inspiring. We wish him the best of luck at the Games.” said J.J. Threads Founder Jay Wich.

Samyr Laine competed in the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and has since competed in four IAAF World Championships and set the Haitian national record in the triple jump in 2009.
